Calipers
Stolz brakes are designed to apply the maximum extreme conditions that can be applied to the caliper through structural analysis according to the specifications of each caliper based on research data accumulated over many years, and distribution and transmission are optimized so that the force is not concentrated in one part. In addition, weight reduction was achieved by eliminating or minimizing the flesh in the parts that do not receive force.
Through thermal analysis and fluid analysis that take into account heat emitted from the disc, heat conducted from the pad to the caliper, and heat conducted from the caliper to the brake fluid, heat accumulation in the brake system is prevented, and safety and heat dissipation are maximized.
For maximum torque, it uses a forged aluminum alloy piston, and is combined with scientific and detailed processing to reduce frictional heat conduction.
Cooling efficiency has been improved by using machining center (MCT) processing using forged billets, which is Stolz's unique identity, and step-type air radiator fins that take heat dissipation into consideration, and a dust seal with triple grooves has been used to block the source of foreign substances.
Most OEM calipers are single-cylinder systems that only transmit power in one direction. This has the advantage of being cheap to produce, but it is heavy, has limited size for each cylinder, and has difficulty transmitting power evenly to the pads, resulting in poor braking performance.
The Stolz system boldly overcomes these shortcomings by adopting a double-acting cylinder type and using a lightweight forged aluminum alloy, making it a system that satisfies both lightness and rigidity, as well as reliable performance.
Rotors
Ultra-light disc rotor that achieves maximum rigidity and minimum weight.
Considering the rotational properties of the disc rotor, it is designed as a two-piece type (disc plate and bell housing) and is designed to be coordinated with the force applied to the caliper during braking.
In addition, the aerodynamic system (adoption of curved lines instead of straight lines) was applied when designing the disc rotor ribs, and the fin design inside the disc was also designed with a structure that can facilitate the flow of fluid.
For the pins that connect the bell housing and the disc plate, stainless steel pins and oval pins are used. These pins not only balance the stress of the disc and the bell housing made of different materials, but also prevent frictional heat from being transferred to the bell housing, reducing thermal deformation and improving durability. Excellent heat dissipation through perforation reduces frictional heat transmitted to the pad and caliper, maintaining the best performance. (Proportional to odd number of perforations)
