Description
EBC USR Slotted Brake front & rear Rotor set with front and rear EBC Red Stuff Brake Pads

The USR, or Ultimax Slotted Rotor range, is our premium, silent street range designed for fast street use. It is made using the highest quality R90-approved G3000 grey iron rotor blanks.
Statement of Origin – EBC Brakes manufactures 92% of everything it sells in its own plants in the UK or USA. That’s impressive for a brake brand, likely one of the largest in the world.
Rather than focusing on where the last 8% of bought-in components come from, we emphasize the QUALITY of everything we purchase. EBC is in CONTROL of these bought-in components through BS5750 and ISO accreditations. But we don’t stop there. Every factory we outsource from is visited regularly, and systems are checked. Every component we receive is batch checked for metallurgy, accuracy, X-ray inspection, balance, and dimensional checks.

All EBC rotors, including USR Slotted Rotors, are British-made and precision machined in the UK or the USA.

The rotors are made from high-quality, R90-approved grey iron rotor/disc blanks to exacting standards and undergo extensive testing and rigorous quality control.

Slotted rotors can significantly improve brake performance and longevity when used with a matching high-friction brake pad set. Having sold hundreds of thousands of brake kits, EBC Brakes feels confident that their approach is as perfect as it gets.

Ultra Quiet Slotted Brake Rotors
Manufactured using premium disc blanks mentioned above, the narrower multi slot design of the Ultimax sport rotor and the progressive angle at which the slots are machined creates a quiet running sport rotor that still has benefits of removing gas, dirt, water and debris and maintaining parallel pad wear.

EBC have always been honest enough to say that the biggest advantage of slotted rotors is the fact that they promote flat and parallel pad wear rather than allowing ridges to develop on pads and rotors which is typical of “drilled only” sport rotors. By preventing these ridges brakes stay more consistent throughout pad and rotor wear life (simple physics!).

EBC Redstuff Ceramic Brake Pads
EBC Brakes’ Redstuff is a premium ceramic-granule enhanced brake pad, available now for all modern cars, including hatchbacks/hot hatches, sedans, and muscle cars. They are now available for trucks and SUVs under the new 2022 ED Plus brake pad range from EBC.

Ceramic pads are NON-METALLIC (therefore non-magnetic) and contain ZERO steel fiber, which is what causes brake dust.

EBC Redstuff has always been fully compliant with ecological and environmental demands and includes no toxic ingredients such as lead, nickel, copper, or antimony sulfides, and certainly no asbestos.

Redstuff is the EBC premium low dust pad for fast street driving on all types of cars and is even now available for truck and SUV with our ED range . When making the choice between Green, Red, Yellow, or even Blue grades for any vehicle.

Redstuff is an aramid fiber ceramic particle-enhanced premium brake material. We do NOT use ceramic fibers in any of our pads. Redstuff is free of sulphides or lead and a low dust material, and fully ECE R 90 brake safety tested and approved.

There is always “Some:” dust from brakes as they wear but the major advantage of the EBC range is that we use zero steel fiber in our pads and instead use less aggressive aramid fibers such as Twaron and Kevlar which are easy to wash off wheels and do not etch into wheel lacquers or alloy

EBC Redstuff is also a long-wearing pad and as such takes approx 500Kms to fully bed down and show its full performance. To assist the bed-in, however, all EBC pads are surface coated with our Brake-in pad brake in accelerator compound.
